Hogwarts Legacy is a stunning, vast open-world game that includes activities scattered throughout Hogwarts and Hogsmeade. The game rewards players for participating in activities and exploring every area available by rewarding them with experience points, or XP. This is extremely critical to help your character achieve your ultimate potential.

Although almost every activity in Hogwarts Legacy rewards you with experience points, there are a few methods to gain XP quickly enough to level up quickly throughout your journey in Hogwarts Legacy. You may also choose to take a breather and experience everything the world of Hogwarts Legacy has to offer.

In Hogwarts Legacy, the best ways to earn XP are

In Hogwarts Legacy, there are a few basic methods for earning XP. Each of these methods provides a good chunk of experience, therefore it's always worthwhile to try any of these whenever possible.

  • Completing main quests
  • Completing side quests
  • Collecting Field Guide pages
  • Dueling Feats
  • Battle Arena challenges

Each of these methods offers a different experience and may be completed at various points during the game's main story. We'll break down each technique and how best to utilize them to gain those precious experience points.

This is a fairly straightforward way to go about the main story of the game, accomplishing every quest as you go. These quests are indicated by golden quest markers on the map that you can track and follow as you progress the story forward.

The amount of XP you gain here is different from one main story quest to the other. If the quest is just one prerequisite quest in a bigger quest chain, you will receive a smaller amount of XP per quest. However, finishing the quest chain will return you a fair amount of XP at the end.

Side quests have little to no bearing on the game's main story. As you explore the castle and progress through the main story, you will encounter side characters and encounter various activities that they may assign you. However, doing so rewards you with a fair amount of experience points.

Over 50 side quests are provided throughout Hogwarts Legacy to fully immerse you in the game. Occasionally, completing a simple side quest may relax you in the process of finishing them.

The Field Guide is a set of notebooks given to you on your first day at Hogwarts. It helps you keep track of all the places you have visited and interesting things you have seen throughout your journey. This involves you to collect pages from a variety of sources, such as using Revelio to locate the pages or Accio to draw charmed flying pages from the air.

This activity is no longer required, but you may earn periodic rewards as time goes on, including a good amount of XP.

Dueling Feats are additional difficulties that may arise during combat. Completing these will give you additional XP.

The game has three Battle Arenas, one (Dark Arts Battle Arena) being only available to Deluxe Edition gamers. These Battle Arenas will challenge you with waves of enemies that you will have to defeat. These enemies will become more powerful, so you will have to complete your game.

Defeating each wave of enemies will reward you with experience points, with the earlier waves earning you more experience points than the previous ones.
