Retribution Paladins will be reimagined by Blizzard in WoW Dragonflight ...

Blizzard Entertainment announced that Retribution Paladins would be reworked with Patch 10.0.7 shortly after the release of World of Warcraft Dragonflight Patch 10.0.5. The community has discovered various leaks on the PTR, but Blizzard has now officially stated where the game intends to go with Retribution Paladins.

In a Blue Post, one of the World of Warcraft developers discussed Retribution Paladins in Patch 10.0.7. The dev mentioned modifications to the Paladin class tree and Retribution Aura.

Retribution Aura will "adjust five percent of their health for 10 seconds to all party or raid members when a party or raid member within 40 yards takes more than 50 percent of their health in damage." This spell will easily become one of the most popular Mythic+ dungeons and raids.

The Retribution Paladins will also have a new baseline passive to look forward to, including the introduction of the Seraphim charm. Both abilities were previously excluded from the Paladin talent tree due to the above.

Blizzard has yet to reveal the whole list of Retribution Paladin improvements in Patch 10.0.7, but the team promised to include more thorough development notes in the near future. Regardless, we have yet to see what the team will do about the Retribution Paladin's lack of survivability and defensive cooldowns.
