The filmmaker of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania teases the buildup to Avengers: The Kang Dynasty ...

When Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania takes center stage in theaters, Jonathan Majors will end any notion of "safety." It would be wise for us to also be prepared to say goodbye to a member of Ant-Man's family, or even Ant-Man himself.

It's even more terrifying to think that Kang's de facto Thanos-level threat in the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Multiverse Saga is only the beginning. As he looks poised to break free from the Quantum Realm soon, his power only will grow.

The Kang Dynasty is a big Marvel team-up film a la Infinity War, and while we wouldn't be able to predict exactly how all of the events between Quantumania and The Kang Dynasty will unfold, the creative teams behind each of these films are only a rung above.

Peyton Reed, the director of Quantumania, explained how the Marvel Cinematic Universe's continuity works behind the scenes, noting that each subsequent writer and director inherits the events from the previous film, and are then charged with carrying the story forward with enormous freedom; all this, after the approval of the one and only Kevin Feige, we presume.

It's an infinitely strange realization, knowing that the pop culture zeitgeist's main cinematic universe is much more on-the-fly than it may appear, and that we'll all be tuning in for some good old-fashioned Marvel acrobatics at the click of a hat, even if it involves Kang instilling fear into our hearts all over again.

Quantumania, Ant-Man and the Wasp, will be released in theaters on February 17th.
