The upcoming Man of Steel reboot might be called Superman: Legacy, but let's not overlook Lois Lane, the Kryptonian crusader's love interest with a long and legendary cinematic history. So, finding the correct Lois for the role is equally as important as finding the perfect Clark Kent, and, fortunately for Gunn, the best choice for the role we've yet heard might have just fallen into his lap.
Camila Mendes, one of the most notoriously unfaithful comic book adaptations of all time, might be a great fit for Legacy's Lois, according to Redditor u/Blue_Robin_04. The suggestion did go down extremely well with people, for a variety of reasons.
Mendes would be 31 years old when the film is released in 2025, which would make her a few years older than Gunn's ideal 25-year-old Supes. That isn't an issue, though, as fans agreed that having an older Lois just feels right.
Especially since it's pretty much a tradition at this point. From Amy Adams...
Elizabeth Tulloch is in love.
However, if one Riverdale actor joins the DCU, it might open the floodgates. Anyone know Lily Reinhart as Kara Zor-El?
Madelaine Petsch would do well as Ivy.
Mendes' chances of appearing in Gunn's favorite Superman comics aren't harmed.
Although, the real reason she's the best choice for our next Lois Lane is because we know Mendes can make the most of any material.
On July 11, 2025, Superman: Legacy will be released in cinemas.
