Namor, the ruler of the undersea kingdom of Talokan, introduced the MCU to underwater fashion and his own fondness for green swimming trunks in the film. However, fans are questioning whether or not his final confrontation with the Panther will imply a future wardrobe change.
Namor has always been a proponent of body positivity, wearing anything from Nazi soldiers to the Incredible Hulk in a green speedo, but he has been known to wear alternative outfits on occasions. It was a black leggings and a vest, which aided him in landing long periods of time. It also featured a large golden belt with a trident pattern and gold wings that extended under his arms in the style of a flying fish.
Namor's injuries when he was defeated by the new Black Panther in Wakanda Forever might be laying the foundation for a couture makeover for the aquatic monarch. Extra body covering may not be Namor's preferred way of dressing, but it might help conceal battle scars and assist in their healing. A costume upgraded to keep him hydrated might also allow him to deal with the surface-dwelling heroes from the MCU for longer periods.
Namor would not be included in a solo film anytime soon — Universal still holds the rights to any film with "Namor" or "Sub-Mariner" in the title — but Namor might easily reappeared in the next stage of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, especially in the upcoming Fantastic Four movie, which revived the Golden Age character in the 1960s.
