When James Gunn joined the DC Comics media team earlier this year alongside Peter Safran, he entered a franchise that has yet to exploit its vast library of characters. While the world knows Batman and Superman, not too many lesser characters have made it to the big screen. Now, fans expect one to make a comeback from television.
As a result of this story's filing, the above post, found on the official subreddit for discussing DC Comics film adaptations, is enthralling. Fans want her to be a more comic-accurate version going forward, and one user believes the pair should be reunited with a villain they've both faced.
Another user expressed differing views. For one, it would not make sense to include Green Arrow with the more fantastical figures Gunn is aiming for with his team. Instead, Oliver Queen should meet Robert Pattinson's Bruce Wayne for the dark and brooding crossover scene.
Despite numerous people's eagerness to speculate and debate, another user feels the endless debate unnecessary and that the conversation is a machine. Essentially, the post above feels more like a program than a real voice.
Both houses may be wiped away completely by what comes out of the next The Flash film, and whatever happens, the Arrow television program will always exist alongside the different version of the character on Smallville. As well, there was almost a Green Arrow film years ago.
Given the amount of power he has now (and barring Zaslav being a cheapskate), James Gunn claims the character was a favorite of him as a kid.
