Season 6 of Cobra Kai appears to be the last season of the series. Fans don't want to hear this, but looking back over the previous five seasons, it's easy to see that the story needs to reach a satisfying conclusion.
John Kreese, played by Martin Kove, managed to escape. There is no indication what mood he will be in after a brutal fight with Chozen and then Daniel. It's safe to say that an endgame has already been reached.
But the future of Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang karate does not seem to be secure just yet. Johnny, Daniel, and Chozen have all aided in the formation of the group. However, there's still the issue of Cobra Kai, and the serious blow it's suffered.
Particularly after Kreese's escape and Silver's imprisonment, there are a lot of theories to go with. It's unclear whether or not this will motivate Silver to leave or whether he'll return for one last strike.
Kreese might resign to take over.
Kreese might not want to take over Cobra Kai immediately, although it might be different when he returns. He may want to take his creation back or retaliate against those who stole it from him.
Kreese may pursue Johnny and Daniel or do more damage in some way, or he may be able to return to the game without Silver to fire out. In any event, it is hard to say what kind of damage he might do if he returned to the scene. The cops would certainly be after him, and Silver's resources might be enough to restore him to the game.
At this time, these are just theories since they would bring the last few chapters of the larger story to a close. However, some possibilities might spur on a few other ideas.
The question of whether Silver is truly defeated is ambiguous.
Daniel was tortured by him when he was younger. He has significant resources, meaning he has lawyers and financial means to strike back. However, whether or not he will, is a good question. After all, he was humiliated in front of his students, which might lead him to go either way.
Silver regained his resolve in the manner that only he could. In other words, he took up a fight that was decades old and upped the ante. It doesn't seem that Silver will have much to do with the coming season. However, it does feel that he should still be involved.
Johnny may unify Cobra Kai and Eagle Fang.
Miyagi-Doi doesn't feel like it's going anywhere, and it's in good hands with Daniel. One has to wonder if Eagle Fang and Cobra Kai will survive or if one will have to leave. Johnny might not want anything to do with Cobra Kai at all. In fact, it may be time for Cobra Kai to end their lives.
Although this is unlikely to be revealed by fans, it feels right. Cobra Kai has endured for a long time, even if the idea was nearly dead at one point. It was brought back for a reason, corrupted, and defeated again. It does feel that Cobra Kai has fulfilled its purpose and should either merge with Eagle Fang or go into history.
Season 6 intends to explain a few more things and then settle the issue. That's the best way to leave things, but other suggestions could be used.
There may be other spinoffs as well.
Since Cobra Kai was started up, there have been rumors of a spinoff. However, who will follow the story and what will happen is improbable. Miguel is one obvious choice, while Samantha is another. Who will actually benefit from their own spinoff is a good question.
Daniel and Johnny's feud has finally been resolved. Season 5 saw Daniel reconcile with Mike Barnes, and Chozen becomes an even deeper character. Now that Johnny will be a father again, life seems to be moving along as planned for the main characters.
