The release date for Age of Empires 2: Return of Rome has been set.
The Return of Rome DLC was announced until October 25th, 2022 (the 25th anniversary of Age of Empires), so it's safe to say that fans have been waiting a long time for this DLC to arrive on the market! Depending on the available information, this DLC will be released sometime in the spring or summer of 2023.
Return of Rome will be the fourth expansion of Age of Empires 2, and although no new information has been released on the content of this DLC, we can safely assume that it will add at least a few new civilizations to the game (most likely Rome-based).
It has been widely rumored that at least one of the new civilizations included in the Age of Empires 2 expansion will be based on the late western Roman empire. It would be quite a surprise to anyone if this rumor proved to be true.
