The Gulag is getting a significant shakeup in the CoDs battle royale sequel, including 2v2 battles, lootable weapons, and the Jailer.
Warzone established itself as a standout among battle royale games thanks to its inclusion of the Gulag, a 1v1 arena where eliminated players compete for a chance to return to the fight on November 16th.
The brand-new Al Mazrah map has been officially unveiled at Call of Duty Next, featuring content creators. This included the new Gulag 2.0 with its 2v2 combat modes, lootable weapons, and the Jailer.
Once a player dies in Warzone 2, they are sent to the new Gulag, which is much more open than those weve seen before.
The Gulag will be fought 2v2, specifically in Warzone 2, where you will form a temporary alliance with an enemy player, looting weapons throughout the map. Plus, youll be able to use the proximity chat feature to chat to your temporary teammate.
This new Gulag sounds similar to the Modern Warfares Gunfight OSP mode, in which players start with fists and must pick up weapons and equipment, so it appears that Infinity Ward has taken inspiration from the popular mode.
Plus, Warzone 2 now includes a brand-new Jailer mechanic. Warzone 2 hasn't announced what this is, but has said that it expects an AI presence on the map.
