Online Battles Will Be Included In The Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection ...

The 2022 Tokyo Game Show has kicked off, and Capcom took to the stage to discuss its upcoming releases and updates. One of the company's major featured titles was the Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection, which will not be just a ten-game collection, no, as Director Masakazu Eguchi announced that Capcom would begin using online battles for every single game in the collection.

Fans of the original games will now be able to battle and trade chips online. We're really going to be a part of the Battle Network! Chip Trading is also back.

Here's what the game's director, also known as Mr. Famous, had to say during the presentation, as transcripted by Capcom:

Battle routine, set! Execute! Long time no see, everyone! It's Mr. Famous!

In the form of the Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection, Mega Man Battle Network has returned to the TGS stage! I'm so happy to be able to share more information about Battle Network after almost 17 years!

It's been a while since the Legacy Collection was unveiled, but our team has been very interested in the proliferation of social media! Now, Im sure there's something you're all interested in, right? It's true, the online functions!

Were always connected, no matter what! Were currently developing online games such as online battles and chip trading! Well, all of us will still be connected in this game!

Id like to talk about this stunning remade lab coat, but that's all I can give you for the time being! Will add further details in a future presentation.

While this is certainly exciting, we'll also get our own personal PET on the game select menu. MegaMan.EXE will be there to assist you through the menu. So you may be immersed in the Mega Man Battle Network universe even if your Switch is not turned on.

We also have a few more screenshots from the upcoming collection, including a little peek at the Mega Man Battle Network's hero in stunning 3D:

This handy collection of RPGs is set to be released in 2023, so we've got time to prepare before we invest our hours (and all of our Battle Chips) in these games.
