Rhaenyra Targaryen is placed under all of this pressure in a fictional world, and Milly Alcock, who plays young Rhaenyra, has confirmed that she feels the pressure to play the princess.

Rhaenyra, along with Alicent Hightower, are played by two actors to represent the younger and older versions of the women on House of the Dragon. Milly Alcock is coming to the end of her role as the character and will soon be replaced by Emma DArcy, who talked about her future plans in a recent interview with Nylon.

I don't even know what I'll be doing tomorrow. I really don't know. So hopefully something new and exciting comes along, but I just want to do something completely different to House of the Dragon. Ultimately, I don't want to enter another big franchise or series.

Emily Carey, who plays young Alicent, said she wants to do something completely different next. House of the Dragon and Game of Thrones are notoriously difficult to execute. These actors have to film scenes that are both uncomfortable and challenging.

Alcock discussed the difficulties of becoming a household name, as tons of followers shared similar reactions to scenes like the one between Rhaenyra and her uncle Daemon in the latest episode of HOTD. She says she has a hard time finding people who understand her.

I'm trying to stay afloat by not seeing my face constantly, because it's not going to help me. I'm just awed. No one should have to deal with this. I'm not sure how the world's socialites could cope with such a difficult situation. My family and friends are quite normal, so it's strange.

The social media noise surrounding House of the Dragon is intense and loud. Carey admitted that she deleted Twitter because there was so much criticism surrounding the program. Not many people dwell in this extreme celebrity realm, making finding others difficult.

The GOT cast has never had a problem finding fun films and shows that aren't just Westeros.

Rhaenyra gets up to something in new episodes of House of the Dragon that will be released on HBO Sundays at 9 p.m. ET and may also be streamed with an HBO Max subscription.
