When is the Street Fighter 6 beta test conducted? ...

Capcom has announced a closed beta test for Street Fighter 6 that will allow more people to try the new online features of the Battle Hub.

With the exception of a few key additions, this will be an entirely online match, meaning players will be able to participate in a number of different match types with a limited roster of characters, although Ken will be included for the first time.

There will be seven modes, eight playable characters, and additional bonuses for playing the game in its early stages in 2023. Here's all you need to know about the closed beta test.

The Street Fighter 6 closed beta test includes all of the information, features, modes, and characters.

Players who register for the Battle Hub will be eligible for access to the Battle Hub across all major platforms, including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, starting October 7th. The beta will not be available on PS4 because of technical reasons, though the final game is still scheduled to release on the platform.

Crossplay will be enabled on all platforms, so this should be an accurate stress test for SF6s online performance.Capcom has stated that it is focusing on fine-tuning after receiving player feedback.

Only Ken will join the playable roster for the first SF6 beta, while Capcom has only recently begun adding more fighters to that lineup for the early build it brings to events. So expect further additions should another beta happen in the future, which is very probable.

  • Luke, Jamie, Ryu, Chun-Li, Guile, Kimberly, Juri, Ken

Players who participate in the closed beta will be able to play around with a number of modes, mostly online, throughout the testing period. This should give everyone the chance to experiment with what they want to do with the game using the modes that are most suitable for them.

For the first time in a Street Fighter game, players will be able to customize and create an avatar. This will include the ability to purchase additional avatar gear from the Hub Goods Shop using Fighter Coins and Drive Tickets earned by playing matches or fulfilling challenges.

In the Battle Hub, players will see a DJ Booth and a Photo Spot that they may visit, as well as other features like crossplay, modern and traditional controls, replays, and more.

When the whole game is released, it is unclear whether any of the personalized content will be transferred to the final game. Most closed beta tests do not see that happening.
