Duels in Crossed Wands: How to Win
In Hogwarts Legacy, there are three Crossed Wands duels. You may choose to battle each one solo or bring a friend as your companion. It doesn't matter which one you choose, but choose the one you'd like to form a friendship with the most.
You can use the training dummy to practice a few spells and combinations between rounds. We suggest using the dummy a few times, complete the challenges associated with it, just to get used to juggling enemies. It demonstrates that with the right combination of Accio and Levioso, you can keep an opponent in the air and hit them with dozens of shots without them ever touching you.
The first round involves you facing off against two students. It's quite easy in a pair because you can target one student at a time. Keep an eye out for the incoming spell indicator and block each time to avoid getting hit. This round also allows you to remove a yellow shield and grab a few free hits from the enemy.
The second round of Crossed Wands pits you against three students. They will still only have blue and yellow shields, but the added enemy makes this a more difficult encounter. Be aware that you may cast Protego and hold it to use Stupefy on another enemy. This allows you to escape the enemies' shield faster than you can.
The third and final round of Crossed Wands is the championship round. This round involves four players, and it's the toughest of all. Blue and yellow shields are only broken when you invoke fire spells such as Incendio. Keep blocking and dodgeing objects until you can remove them. With every round, you'll be able to defeat four enemies with ease.

What reward do you get for completing all of the Crossed Wands duels?
You'll be awarded with the Crossed Wands Champion Garb for your collection when you've completed all three rounds of Crossed Wands. This is the only reward you'll get from the club, and it's one of the best looking items you can earn this early in the game.
