The Criminal Minds: Evolution season 1 finale on Paramount+ was obviously anticipated. It was difficult to ignore, however!
The final moments in the final episode of "Dead End" were packed with possibilities for future plots, whether it be the mysterious Gold Star or the arrest of Elias Voit. Yet, these are the ones that leave us most curious right now. After all, who entered the interrogation room to speak with Sicarius?

We do think that this person's identity is meant to be a surprise, and it might be something that we'll learn a lot more about in Season 2. Of course, that is something we're excited to see unfold!
It's possible that at the time the finale was shot, it wasn't clear who that mystery person was even behind the scenes! This could be a case of the writers intentionally leaving it open, then having discussions with various people to see who might return in season 2. Another possibility is that they did have someone in mind when filming the finale, but they weren't available to shoot the scene at the conclusion of episode 10.
No matter who the person is, they are either super-important or tied to someone else that is. Why do you explain all of the security that was out there? It can't just be because of the threat that an uncuffed Voit might face, right? The fact that he's uncuffed indicates that there is a connection between him and the person he is already seeing.
