The Nintendo's Biggest Ever Game Is Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

The Nintendo's Biggest Ever Game Is Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom ...

The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom is a staggering 18.2 GB, making it the largest-ever first-party game by the developer.

According to the title's eShop page, the game is roughly 4 GB bigger than the original Breath of the Wild.

Tears of the Kingdom is going to be a major success for Nintendo... but it's also a major disappointment for the company.

Although 18 GB isn't a lot by today's video game standards, it's worth noting that Nintendo Switch games aren't often anywhere near as large as PS5, Xbox Series X, or PC releases.

Third-party developers make a few exceptions, but Nintendo seems adept at keeping games to a reasonable install size on its own platform.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is already a leader in Nintendo's first-party lineup.

However, the game isn't close to third-party titles like The Witcher 3 (31.5 GB), Mortal Kombat 11 (32.5 GB), or the massive NBA 2K23 (53.7 GB).
