After February's nerfs changes were more than expected, Symmetras Ultimate is causing havoc in Overw ...

Symmetra may have received a minor tweak in the recent Overwatch 2 patch notes, but the update, which altered her Ultimate ability, has caused nothing but havoc ever since.

Following the February 7 tweaks, doors, payloads, and other environmental objects seem to be her kryptonite. The major issue, which was highlighted by an Overwatch 2 user on Reddit on February 9, is that whenever her ability comes in contact with these stationary environmental features, she instantly disappears.

Symmetra's ability takes longer to appear too, leaving her vulnerable to other Ultimates such as Reinhardt's smash and Sombra's hacks. On top of that, bugs see the Ult activate after death, wasting the energy and reseting the cooldown.

Symmetra has been deemed "unusable" for many people as a result of the upgrade.

“I ever needed a reason to be more conscious about where I was putting my sentries,” a concerned player said in response to the catalogue of problems, while another said it was “huge” that her key abilities had been so severely harmed by these bugs.

According to sites like Overbuff (which does not draw on any official Blizzard API), the hero's win rate in Overwatch 2 has yet to take a serious dip, but it's only a matter of time before they dip into the negatives.

Symmetra enthusiasts, please don't start crossing your fingers—Blizzard has yet to address these unintended additional nerfs, but they should be addressed once they've landed on the developers' radar.
