Connor "Sliggy" Blomfield has been re-signed with Team Liquid in the European and North American sports teams, according to the news today.
The "people's coach" will not return to his previous position, which was filled by Emil Sandgren. Instead, Sliggy has joined Team Liquid as a content creator, according to him via his Twitter account.
The organization announced the resignation in a nightmare-style video revealing the haunting return of the previous coach.
VALORANT Champion 2021 and VCT 2021: Stage 2 Masters in Reykjavk, Iceland, were known as one of the best coaches during his time with Liquid.
Sliggy took a step back from the roster in May following a top-eight finish at the VCT 2022: Stage 1 Masters in Reykjavk, which concluded in April last year. Team Liquid was defeated and eliminated from the tournament by eventual third-place finishers ZETA Division.
Sliggy tweeted at the time that he had resigned from his job due to a "difference in vision and direction within the organization."
Sliggy has pursued content creation since he was released by Liquid, bringing his stream to the forefront. The 33-year-old regularly co-streamed VALORANT tournaments and formulated VOD reviews of popular matches or teams.
Sliggy will likely provide a lot more content, but he's returned in the ways he's known.
