While the couple appears to have no public disturbance that would result in a time in court, a continuing legal dispute between Twitch's most-watched streamer xQc and his ex-girlfriend Adept has raised the concept of a "common law marriage."
Adept is said to be attempting to argue in court that she and xQc were common law married, which can be done without any legal paperwork. It appears that her ultimate goal is to divorce xQc after proving the common law marriage, so she may receive compensation.
Veibae may not plan on resigning from Sodapoppin anytime soon, but she indicated that she may have a strong argument for the couple's marriage if she wanted to.

"I could argue right now that the ring you're wearing is reversed, and he's actually wearing it on his fucking left finger," she said. "And I could go to court and argue that we're married, so, you know what?"
The more she said, the more Sodapoppin struggled to maintain a straight face. Laughing at the idea, the enormously successful content creator who would have a lot to lose in a divorce settlement only had one thing he could say.
