Following Christian Bale, Ben Affleck, Robert Pattinson, and Michael Keaton's anticipated return in The Flash, rebooting Batman has become one of DC's favorite pastimes. Or is it?
After being first mentioned by Grace Randolph, the internet has developed a fascination for the YouTube personality, so it's worth taking this one with a pinch of salt for the time being, even if Gunn has yet to publicly address its content.
The field has become significantly narrower as a result of Randolph's choice of naming a "former" Batman, which means only Christian Bale and George Clooney will be able to speak.
If Batman & Robin's star gets tempted to sign a multi-picture deal to reclaim the most widely-detested character in his entire career, we'd be surprised, while Bale has stated on numerous occasions that he'd only like to wear the cape and cowl again if Christopher Nolan was directing.
As you can see, the evidence for why this shouldn't be taken as gospel until later on. But that doesn't mean we wouldn't want to see either Clooney or Bale appear at the conclusion of The Flash, solely to watch the internet's collective head explode.
