Many artists and groups have announced or teased their comebacks as the world of K-pop continues to expand.
Following iconic performances from groups like Tomorrow X Together (TXT), Le Sserafim, Seventeen's sub-group BSS, and GOT the Beat early this year, fan expectations for catchy singles and eventual albums have reached an all-time high.
Here are 2023's most anticipated K-pop comebacks.
Twice.
Twice, a world-famous K-pop girl band, is set to release their 12th EP Ready to Be on March 10 as a part of their eight-year journey since their debut. The girls have already released a pre-released song, "Moonlight Sunrise," in order to feed their waiting fans ahead of the big reveal.
Super M
Super M's return was unplanned by many. When SM Entertainment announced the group's reunion on New Year's Eve, followers were stunned. NCT's Lucas is very excited for the group to return.
G-Dragon
Kwon Ji Yong, the legendary artist, rapper, and producer G-Dragon, announced that he would be releasing a new album to commemorate his return as a solo musician almost six years ago. The BigBang member, also known as the King of K-Pop, had taken a break to complete his mandatory military service and focus on his modeling career.
EXO
After Baekhyun, the fifth member to join the group, was discharged from mandatory military service earlier this month, EXO may be back on our radar this year. According to the group's leader Suho's Instagram post on New Year's Eve in 2022, no date has been announced yet, but fans are anticipating a confirmation post from SM Entertainment very soon.
Key (SHINee)
Key announced that he would make a comeback with the repackaged album Killer following the commercial success of his previous album Gasoline in 2022. The album will contain 11 tracks, including a title track of the same name and the popular B-side Another Life. It is expected to be released on the 13th of this month.
StayC
StayC is back in full swing this Valentine's, and just in time to make their fans swoon all over again this year. With their single album Teddy Bear, the group is set to release it on the 14th of this month. Both singles and couples are anticipating the forthcoming track.
The Boyz
The Boyz are set to return on February 20th with their eighth EP Be Awake, which is a testament to their popularity. Eric will return to the band after a health issue.
Kep1er
Kep1er would release their second album in March, Fly-By, which includes five tracks, including a Japanese remix of the songs ”Wa Da Da,” ”MVSK,” and ”We Fresh.”
Eric Nam
Eric Nam's announcement, which had been questioned by fans for a decade, still sparked outrage on social media. To commemorate his 10-year anniversary since his debut, he released a newsletter on his official Twitter account and announced that he will release a revised version of his album There and Back Again. The album will be released on March 3rd.
OnlyOneOf
OnlyOneOf has had a great time developing Underground Idol. With the release of the album seOul cOllectiOn, the band will make a full comeback. The album will be released on March 2nd.
