Fast X is already being chastised for having a clear lack of Dwayne Johnson ...

The first trailer for Fast X has been released, and it appears to be every bit as outrageous as we've come to expect from the family over the last two decades.

John Cena and Jason Statham even intervened to poke some ass in the footage, but fans are already expressing their displeasure that Dwayne Johnson will not be a part of them. Of course, everyone knows why he will not return, but that hasn't made it any less depressing.

Johnson's conflict with Vin Diesel became so heated that he completely ruled himself out of reprising in the main saga as Luke Hobbs, even if his spinoff screen partner Statham wasn't quite as stubborn. This, in turn, robs Fast X of its eleventh chapter of a ages-long reconciliation.

Perhaps he'll accept a top-secret role in The Fast Saga's final installment, or there's still the possibility that he'll stick to his guns and remain absent. People want to see him, though, and The Rock has built his entire career on granting them exactly what they want, so crossing those fingers harder than ever before might turn out to be rewarded.

Given how open he has been in stoking Diesel when the opportunity arises, don't bank on it, but remember to never abandon your loved ones, as we've been reminded so often since 2001.
