Ryan Reynolds is a guy who isn't afraid to push the limits, a guy who can stare into the eye of the storm — aka Disney's legal team — and laugh as the sweat drips down their proverbial forehead.
When he went off-script on social media and discussed the possibility of Rob Delaney returning as Peter's fan favorite character in the upcoming MCU film Deadpool 3, the 46-year-old actor did exactly that.
Reynolds, who single-handledly announced the arrival of Deadpool 3 five months prior while also secretly slipping in the return of Hugh Jackman as the X-Men character Wolverine, replied. (The man has no fear, we tell you.)
But, of course, it's Reynolds who's passionate about following his own rules. That's why, just when it appeared that Delaney might make a comeback in Deadpool 3, he turned away to another issue altogether, rescuing the House of Mouse from falling into a puddle of its own sweat.
Delaney will moderate the Maximum Effort session at the Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in London on Saturday, March 4th. Reynolds and George Dewey co-founded Maximum Effort.
The absence of a Deadpool 3 announcement by Reynold is standard practice for how things are going so far for the film. Some important details have been kept under wraps, including how Hugh Jackman's previously deceased Wolverine character will fit into the equation.
Deadpool 3 is coming to an end, it will be the first film from the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Phase Six, and it will be the first film to feature Reynold's Wade Wilson and Jackman's Logan as members of the Marvel Cinematic Universe following Disney's acquisition of 20th Century Fox in 2019.
Everything else, including Peter's expected return, is, as they say, up in the air. Thanks for nothing, Ryan Reynolds. Keep an eye on the news.
