Should you inform Claire Beaumont that her brother has died in Hogwarts Legacy? ...

Claire Beaumont is a character from Hogwarts Legacy who is in desperate need of you to find him. You may keep this information from her, or inform her of his tragic conclusion, but should you? What does the outcome mean for you, and does it have any lasting effects on you?

In Hogwarts Legacy, how do I finish the Brothers Keeper quest?

After talking with Dorothy Sprottle, Brothers Keeper takes place in Upper Hogsfield, north of Hogsmeade. She is concerned about Claire Beaumont's brother, Bardolph, and is the one who will help you find him.

Dorothy will invite you to meet Claire in person on the first step of the quest. Claire informs you about Bardolph's journey, and of the special scarf he's wearing that makes him readily distinguishable from others. Follow the marker to a human camp, now infested with Inferius, and defeat all of Inferius there with fire magic.

From a note in the camp that Bardolph was studying dark magic to protect his sister, you learn that something went wrong, and all the humans who once inhabited the camp were turned into Inferius. The Wizarding World's equivalent of zombification

Return to Claire in Upper Hogsfield and talk to her. If you tell her, she bursts into tears. If you lie, she is devastated about his decision to join the Ashwinders. Either way, the choice has no bearing on your story or gameplay.
