The Save Station in the Sea of Stars demo is only accessible once you exit Port Town. To the left of the vendors, there is a kiosk with a floating book. This is the save station, where you may save your progress until this point. There are three save slots, in case you wish to replay the demo differently.
The Sea of Stars demo isn't overly difficult, and you'll likely wouldn't be returning to this station often. If you encounter any difficulty during combat, you may equip the Amulet of Storytelling, which decreases your maximum HP by 100. This relic allows you to auto-heal up to 75% after every combat encounter.
