Hogwarts Legacy is a new story set in the Wizarding World well before Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger's birth. Instead, you create your own characters and may modify them as you wish. The first question is tough, and may leave you wondering if you should play a witch or a wizard in Hogwarts Legacy.
In the Hogwarts Legacy, what are the differences between witches and wizards?
There are no differences between playing as a witch or wizard both mechanically and narratively. The main difference is what rooms you have access to, namely the dormitory and bathrooms. Like in the books, wizards cannot enter the witch dormitory, but witches can enter the wizard dormitory.
If you attempt to enter the witch dormitory as a wizard, the stairs will turn into a slide and send you to the bottom, as you would expect from the books. However, Hogwarts Legacy does not allow you to do this in-game.
Witches may also enter both bathrooms, but wizards may not. So there is no real difference between playing a witch or a wizard, as long as you choose which one you want to go on your magical adventure.
