Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is currently lacking new and original content. Both were remakes of previous games. Worst yet, the second season has yet to be released, with the developer pushing its start date back several weeks. Despite this, players are concerned about these upcoming sequels.

According to Call of Duty leaker Tom Henderson, the next Warzone 2.0 sequel is expected to be a complete mainline game developed by Sledgehammer Games, which will be released on November 10th. They stated that it would be "connected" to Modern Warfare 2, but did not specify how they would be linked to each other.

If this is not the case, the next game might not be welcomed with open arms upon its release. Several fans shared their disappointments, arguing that Modern Warfare 2's lack of content should not justify a sequel. Others have also stated that Modern Warfare 2 has dissuaded them from buying a new title any time soon.

Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 will now include new DMZ missions, but not all players will be able to access them.

Modern Warfare 2 will generate a lot of content in Season 2, but the player base has a point. At the start of the season, each map has already appeared in Warzone 2.0 or previously, though players have not taken the initiative to restore several aspects of the original Warfare.
