This weekend is going to be a big one for television in general, but could also be crucial for Severance season 2?
At this point, it's quite clear that the next batch of episodes will be anticipated with interest. Filming has also been ongoing for many months. The cast and crew are not finished yet in production, but that doesn't mean that the promotional efforts must be stuck in some sort of a state.
Is there a chance for a premiere date reveal over the course of the Super Bowl? Of course, we'd like to see Apple TV+ reveal something more for a few of their shows — think about Ted Lasso and The Morning Show here, too. There are many other things to be excited about here in the long run, but with the big game in particular, there are concerns as to whether or not the aforementioned streaming service intends to spend the money.
We suppose there is a possibility that a new episode of Severance might be released, whether it be a premiere date or a full trailer. Maybe we get a premiere date as part of some larger Apple TV+ sizzle reel, but all of this seems highly unlikely. (We're hoping for late summer or early fall).
Do you really need a costly campaign for season 2? The greatest thing the program has going for itself right now is word of mouth. Everyone who sees it loves it, to the point where they share the news with their friends, and that's what matters more in the long run.
