The Forbidden Forest is a one-and-a-half-death experience. There are a few extra steps, however. First, you'll need to go there at night. Then, you'll need to look at the Forbidden Forest Floo Flame, which is located halfway between Hogwarts and Hogsmeade.

Cast the Lumos spell once you reach the Forbidden Forest bridge. Three floating candles will spawn. They'll lead you to a treasure chest. Open it and retrieve the Treasure-Seeker's Scarf.
The Treasure-Seeker's Scarf is purely cosmetic, but it allows you to alter the appearance of many other items as well, giving your witch or wizard a completely different appearance, hence the name.
