Players in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight have had to deal with a quite annoying bug. Frustrated players have gone to the forums to express their concerns, but have yet to receive a reply from Blizzard on the topic. The bird bug is causing a Territorial Eagle mob from the Crawth encounter trash in Algeth'ar Academy to get stuck before flying down into the boss arena, effectively preventing the encounter from progressing.
Why isn't Crawth featured in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight?
In World of Warcraft: Dragonflight, Crawth is a massive avian boss hidden under two wings of bird mobs. Crawth is supposed to flee after the trash has been defeated, but sometimes she fails to arrive. This happens when one of the Territorial Eagles gets stuck in huge pillars surrounding the arena. It's also possible that a Druid's Adaptive Swarm ability jumps to the mob before it reaches the arena.
This would normally complete the dungeon and prevent a Mythic Plus run from being completed as the boss needs to be killed in order to progress. Players have only discovered one specific technique to fix the issue and cause Crawth to spawn.
World of Warcraft: Dragonflight: How to Address the Crawth Problem
The only sure way to restart the encounter and get the boss to spawn is to have all five players log out at the same time. The mobs will reset as soon as they are in the dungeon, and they will likely be placed at the entrance of the dungeon and can return to the Crawth arena.
This is a fairly straightforward method, although it will take a little over two minutes to get back to the boss situation. Losing time during a Mythic Plus run is quite frustrating, and it is a bit ridiculous that it has yet to be addressed through a hotfix.
With Dragonflight, Blizzard has earned some praise, but situations like this cause fans to be irritated, particularly when their complaints are not responded to by a player. For now, some players are just avoiding the Algeth'ar Academy dungeon until the problem is resolved.
