The new Soulslike from Team Ninjas is now playable, and for the next ten days ...

Team Ninja and Koei Tecmo's Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty demo is now available for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, but only for the next ten days.

The Dark Fantasy Souls-like game, which hasn't yet had a release date, is now available through both consoles' marketplaces. The Wo Longs demo will take place at 3 a.m. on September 26.

Team Ninja has released similar limited-time demos for its other Soulslike and action games. Both Nioh and Nioh 2 were the subject of several demos, from which Team Ninja derived feedback on their Soulslike games. A demo for this years Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin was released, giving players an insight into the action game mechanics.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty was unveiled at the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase back in June. The action role-playing game takes place during Chinas Later Han Dynasty (189 to 220 C.E.) and the game's chaotic battle to save a once beloved land now invaded by demons.

The demo will allow players to experience online multiplayer, the character creator, and in-game abilities, including vertical exploration and the importance of character. When the demo launches, the player will earn the Crouching Dragon Helmet, which will be used throughout the entire game.

Koei Tecmo has released a gameplay tip video (above) to assist players in coping with the masocore experience. Fumihiko Yasuda, the CEO of Team Ninja, is the producer of 2017s Niohand 2020s Nioh 2. He is joined by Masaaki Yamagiwa, formerly of Sonys Japan Studio.
