Scaramouche is returning in the Genshin Impacts 3.1 patch, and he's causing trouble ...

Hoyoverse continues to release regular updates to its sprawling open-world adventure Genshin Impact. The upcoming 3.1 patch will continue to build on players' journeys in the recently added Sumeru region and introduce a desert region to explore. Additionally, players can expect featured banners for characters Cyno, Candace, and Nilou.

Hoyoverse released some new information during a developer stream Friday morning. The next patch will be released on September 28 and take the Traveler on a desert adventure. The Eremites are called the Eremites, and in this case, the much-anticipated Dottore and Scaramouche from the Fatui Harbingers are featured.

This patch will also introduce a new character, Mika, who is set in Mondstadt, and we will learn more about our resident wolf-boy Razor. This will be the first time we know about this character's origins.

The update adds a new desert region to Sumeru. There will be vast sand dunes, but also more established areas to explore. Aaru Village, a small town nestled in worn sandstone, is a safe haven for Akademiya scholars, and it is stunning.

Cyno (also known as General Mahamatra), the warrior Candace, and Nilou are three new playable characters in the game. Candace is a four-star user of polearms, but she also uses a special shield as part of her Elemental Skill.

The 3.1 Genshin Impact banners include the following characters you may wish for.

The first phase of the banner will feature two different banners: one for Cyno and a rerun for the Anemo archon Venti. Candce will be featured alongside them in both banners.

Nilou and Albedo will be featured in the second phase of the 3.1 patch.

The Genesis Crystals top-up shop, where you buy them, will also be renovated, so you may use it again if you haven't already.

Update: The 3.1 Genshin Impact patch has been updated.
