During the first quarter of Super Bowl LVII, Marvel surprised fans with a surprise trailer for 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3'. The film sees Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Bradley Cooper, Dave Bautista, and Vin Diesel returning for one final visit through the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Unsurprisingly, Cooper's Rocket Raccoon is in the spotlight in the teaser. Franchise director James Gunn has never attempted to conceal that the third and final film in the series is focused on Rocket.
'Vol. 3' is a film that I felt drawn to once I started working on it, according to a recent interview. "I felt called to it, if that makes any sense."
James Gunn's last Marvel project before he leaves for his new role as co-CEO of DC Studios isn't dwindling. In a recent Twitter post, Gunn expressed his desire for the three "Guardians."
Gunn said the majority of his life has been spent working on and thinking about the Guardians. “I still have a long way to go with VFX and editing, but it was still significant to me.“It is somewhat straightforward to explain to others how much I love these actors. I do film them and write their words as a way of expressing that love.”
“Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” will be released on May 5, 2023 only in cinemas. The trailer, which premiered during Super Bowl LVII, may be seen below.
