Fans are getting a second look at what may end up being the year's greatest sports film on Super Bowl LVII, the largest sporting day of the year. According to others, the company spent $7 million on the film's quality.
Ben Affleck is the first filmmaker to direct since 2016's "Live By Night." It is the first film produced through Affleck and Damon's new production company, Artists Equity. The film is expected to have the broadest theatrical release of any Amazon Studios film when it opens this spring on over 3,000 screens across the United States.
“I am very excited for people to see 'Air,' and I am grateful for her and Sue Kroll's tireless efforts to recreate a remarkable and aspirational narrative,” Affleck said in a statement announcing the film's theatrical release.
Amazon Studios will release "Air" on Friday, April 5 in cinemas before it becomes available for streaming on Prime Video. Watch the Super Bowl spot below.
