The next Harry Potter adventure in the Wizarding World will put Harry Potter fans' magical abilities to the test. From studying and learning spells at the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry to solving puzzles and defeating evil foes, there's plenty of fun to be had.
The most abundant Merlin trials in the game, with many more to come later in the open world. There are a grand total of 95 puzzles players will need to complete, and upon doing so, they'll add four additional slots to their inventory.
The other Merlin Trials are near Irondale. While the first requires little skill, it may be difficult to find all of the necessary items to complete the puzzle.
In Hogwarts Legacy, here's how to complete both Irondale Merlin Trials.
Inside the village of Irondale Merlin Trial Solution
The first trial is the simplest of the two to complete. To begin, place Mallowsweet leaves on the platform.
Basic attacks will destroy three sets of orbs. The first set is east, down the mountain and following a dirt path. After you've destroyed those, head down the mountain to a path directly southeast of the trial's platform.
Outside the village, an Irondale Merlin Trial solution
The Merlin Trial west of Irondale is a bit tricky to complete. You'll need Incendio for this one, but, more important, you'll need to be on the move.
How to Solve the Keenbridge Merlin Trial in Hogwarts Legacy
Three pedestals will rise out of the ground when you activate the trial: one across the bridge, another west of the trial's starting platform, and one south of the bridge. Each of them is of a different height, and once you cast Incendio on one, it will begin lowering towards the ground. The light will flicker when it arrives.
To complete the Merlin Trial, you'll need to light all three braziers before any of them are extinguished. The pedestals can sink quite rapidly, so you'll need to be extra speedy and precise.
Start with the highest pedestal across the bridge since it's the highest of the three and has more time before it falls. From there, run across the bridge towards the second-tallest pedestal (west of the trial's starting platform) and light the third and final brazier. This will prevent you from casting spells.
