If a few fans over on the Rick and Morty subreddit got their way, the world would be getting even more H. Jon Benjamin in a Justin Roiland-less Rick and Morty.
This is a fairly extreme and somewhat left-of-field approach, but the author of the thread stated that if Adult Swim wanted to stay away from Roiland as much as possible (and avoid talent that would sound like a Roiland replica), H. Jon Benjamin would be their choice:
While many reactions to the thread agreed that sticking with a voice actor who sounds somewhat like Roiland (such as his co-showrunner, Dan Harmon), it was at the very least agreed that it would be hilarious for the titular pair to visit a world in which everyone, and everything, is voiced by the Archer voice actor.
Patrick Warburton, Stephen Ogg, and Will Arnett were among the candidates to replace Rick. Of course, ever since Adult Swim announced that Roiland would no longer be involved with Rick and Morty (and Squanch Games gave him the boot), there's been plenty of discussion about who might replace the eminent scientist.
Fans have been doing their own admittedly hilarious auditions for the role, but there was also a TikTok star who has the ability to savor a fairly bizarre Rick impersonation.
