Robloxs Royale High, an online campaign to raise money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital through the sale of in-game cosmetic items, met its goal of $1 million in two weeks.
Royale High, one of the most popular sandbox games, is an apocalyptic world from the creator callmehbob, where Robloxians may play minigames, participate in fashion shows, trade in cosmetic items, or just enjoy relaxing in various locations.
Royale Highs' enticement is largely due to fashion. Players may customize their Roblox avatars in the game, as well as purchase items with in-game currency that they can earn in various ways, or pay Robux for more intricate designs.
The Royale High team has initiated a campaign to raise a million dollars for St. Jude through the sale of in-game cosmetics throughout the month. All proceeds will go to St. Jude.
The designers stated that players who purchased all items in the set, at a cost of roughly 4,500 Robux (about $50), would also receive access to a reworked Magical Enchantress skirt. However, the team would only release the design once it meets its $1 million goal.
The new Magical Enchantress skirt is a recreation of a popular game accessory. Designed by SaltehShio, the dramatic, sprawling item is a whimsical take on high-fashion couture. The changed skirt has 12 styles, or toggles, that alter its appearance.
The development team for Royale High has discovered that players who already own the Magical Enchantress skirt, which was previously released but was otherwise offsale, may also obtain the reworked version of the skirt.
St. Jude collaborates closely with the gaming community often through a dedicated program called St. Jude PLAY LIVE. Over the years, content creators have raised more than $45 million for the children's cancer research charity.
