Indiana Jones and The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull will be released for the first time by Disney ahead of the next sequel's release.
Indiana Jones will make his debut next year, some 15 years after The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was released to wide ranging criticism.
Although the film itself may still be controversial, it certainly never looked better than in a 4K Blu-ray Steelbook that will be released on September 19, 2022.
This set includes several featurettes, including 'The Return of The Legend,' in which Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, Harrison Ford, and the executive producers of the film discuss resurrecting Indy after decades.
Spielberg's production, Production Diary: Making Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, follows him throughout the film's production, as the crew travels from Mexico to Hawaii.
A Timelines tracker of all of Indiana Jones' journeys, a look back at the pre-production process, and other video features are included.
All of these extra features put Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull in a significant new context, so even if the film isn't your favourite, the additional features are definitely worth the purchase!
Plus, who isn't eager for the fifth film? Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Mads Mikkelsen are returning to the Indiana Jones team, while John Rhys-Davies is expected to reprise his role as Indy's loyal friend Sallah.
Harrison Ford said at D23 Expo last weekend that Indiana Jones would be his final appearance as the character. "This is it! I will not fall for you again. But thank you so much."
Indiana Jones must adapt to changing times in the 1960s, but a teaser shown at the D23 Expo confirmed there is still plenty of whip-cracking for fans to enjoy!
Indiana Jones is scheduled to be released on June 23, 2023.
