Five-Man Squads are teased in the Warzone 2.0 teaser

Five-Man Squads are teased in the Warzone 2.0 teaser ...

Five operators are deploying as a group on the new map, Al Mazrah, in the recently released promo material for Warzone 2.0. So far, we've only had a maximum of four-man squads in Warzone, but the additions they're making to the mode should make larger teams more viable.

The next generation of Warzone 2 will transform CoD's BR. We'll get a new map in the Middle East called Al Mazrah, and there will be several new areas added during the match, as well as several new small improvements! As the trailer implies, there'll be 5-man squads as well.

This is just one of the many new features coming to Warzone 2. If you're looking for a complete overview of the mode, here's what you need:

Okay, let's get to the news about increased squad sizes.

5-Man Squad Shown In Warzone 2 Trailer

Five operators can be seen skydiving on the map together in a single scene from the new Warzone 2.0 trailer. This is one of CoD's most important marketing pieces of the year, and they make a lot of mistakes (like when they showed the same trailer twice in a row during Call of Duty Next), but they would have skipped every shot in this particular trailer a million times.

Here's what we're talking about: a specific scene.

Don't worry, this will not be the "standard" way to play Warzone, but we do anticipate it to be included in limited-time-modes or special events. We're still fairly certain the map will be designed with trios/quads as the default squad size.

What do you think about 5-man squads? Is this a good move, or does it sound like the new 2v2 Gulag?

The new movement mechanics, and particularly the new vehicle mechanics, should accommodate larger squads, but we go over all of these changes in this video:
