New Map, Events, Banners, and More for Genshin Impact 3.1

New Map, Events, Banners, and More for Genshin Impact 3.1 ...

miHoYo is already moving forward with another major update, this time for Genshin Impact. King Deshret and the Three Magi is the name of the huge Version 3.0 Sumeru update that feels quite new.

miHoYo released a livestream and trailer on September 16, revealing everything that will come with the Genshin Impact Version 3.1 update. Version 3.1 is packed with new features, powerful new weapons, and many special events, as well as deserts.

Genshin Impact 3.1's Sumeru desert map expansion

When the Version 3.1 update goes live, players will be permitted to enter Sumerus desert areas. This remains true even when the lush, green, lively jungles and forests of Sumeru remain.

The Sumeru desert areas are ancient, yet still have enormously advanced technology. Players will find complex puzzles and extremely advanced foes throughout the ruins located near the desert.

The upcoming desert region is home to a small town called Aaru Village, which is spread across a steep canyon and has a large population of Sumeru residents.

In Genshin Impact 3.1, the Nilou, Cyno, and Candace banners are featured.

Nilou, a five-star Hydro Sword character that players are familiar with, will dance her way into Version 3.1 as a featured banner character. Nilou is well-known for her stunning dancing ability and ability to enthuse any audience.

The Hydro dancer stands out in a stark contrast to Sumeru's knowledge and learning-centric region. Nilou is ultimately a performer who loves nothing more than pursuing her passion and healing others through her performances.

Nilou's dancing ability is responsible for all of her moves and attacks in battle. She is able to move gracefully and efficiently while defeating opponents with impunity.

Cyno, a five-star Electro Polearm character, has been teased since the release of Genshin Impacts, and is finally integrating himself into the game in Version 3.1. Cyno is the General Mahamatra, who is in charge of supervising those who are researchers from Sumeru Akademiya.

Cyno is known for being a very efficient and focused guy who oftentimes responds as solemn or overly mean, but is also known to try and make funny jokes from time to time, although they are usually unsuccessful due to their unexpected nature, and he will usually explain them with a rigid demeanor.

Cyno avoids the pursuit of knowledge, unlike the others in Sumeru Akademiya who loves knowledge and believes in focusing heavily on it. This is because he has seen too many people go down a dark path or otherwise suffer too much for pursuing knowledge.

Candace, a controversial Hydro Polearm character, will make her debut in the first half of Version 3.1, as a four-star character with an increased drop rate. She is the guardian of Aaru Village and a half-blood descendant of the Scarlet King. Her sole purpose in life is to keep her house safe.

Candace has the unique ability to create a special shield that can absorb damage and then return it to enemies after a period of time. A new ability can also be discovered later that will allow her to charge her shield immediately.

The first half of Version 3.1 will feature a brand new Cyno and a second for the five-star Anemo Bow character Venti. Candace will be featured on both banners as a four-star character with a higher drop rate.

Nilous, a five-star character with an increased drop rate, will be featured in the second half of Version 3.1, along with another banner for the rerun of Geo Sword's five-star character Albedo.

In Genshin Impact 3.1, Scaramouche's return and the arrival of Il Dottore

The long-awaited return of Scaramouche and the official introduction of Il Dottore were teased in the release of Version 3.1. Both actors are members of the Fatui Harbingers, who are among the worst of the worst when it comes to Genshin Impacts villains.

MiHoYo revealed back in July all 11 Fatui Harbingers that serve under Tsaritsa, the Cryo Archon, and will now get an update on Scaramouche to find out what the trickster has been up to, or has been up to something more terrible.

Scaramouche was last seen when he took the Electro Archons Gnosis, which he was supposed to bring back to the Fatui Harbingers. Instead, he went missing, leading fans to wonder if he had chosen to go rogue.

Il Dottore, also known as the Doctor, is expected to have his first face-to-face encounter with the players. Il Dottore is well-known for his brutal demeanor, which keeps him almost immersed in his experiments.

Il Dottore declares that he has conducted a successful experiment and that people will no longer hold back their pure admiration when the masses throng him with joy.

Scaramouche is expected to become a playable character in Genshin Impact at some point, but this will not be done in Version 3.1. Il Dottore is also unlikely to ever become a playable character.

New weapons in Genshin Impact 3.1

During Version 3.1, players will be able to choose from two new five-star weapons. One is a sword named Key of Khaj-Nisut, while the other is a polearm named Staff of the Scarlet Sands.

In this update, four different four-star weapons will be introduced. A sword called Xiphos Moonlight, a claymore called Makhaira Aquamarine, a catalyst called Wandering Evenstar, and a polearm called Missive Windspear.

New enemies in Genshin Impact 3.1

With the Version 3.1 update, players will be introduced to a few more new Sumeru foes. Both of whom are bosses.

The first is called the Semi-Intransient Matrix of Overseer Network. It's an ancient device that can be found in the Sumeru desert.

The second enemy is Aeonblight Drake, which appears to be a more complicated and dangerous version of the existing Drake adversary that is found in the wild throughout Sumeru. Like the regular Drake, the Aeonblight Drake also has a dragon-like form and deadly flames.

All events in Genshin Impact 3.1

The names and details of the events that will occur during Version 3.1 have been revealed as per usual when miHoYo releases the trailer and livestream for a new version update.

  • There will be an Of Ballads and Brews Mondstadt event where the Adventurers Guild asks players to take part in various tasks before the Weinlesefest event. This event has four parts, each of which is centered on different types of tasks. These parts are Autumn Crisis, Highwind Trial, Charity and Creativity, and Fecund Blessings.
  • An event called Hyakunin Ikki will ask players to participate in a fighting tournament near Inazuma City.
  • The Wind Chaser event follows players as they meet an adventurer in the wild and help them to explore a unique Domain. This is another installment of an event that has previously occurred.
