The Pokemon Go Valentine's Day event is now up, and the 2023 event will feature Mega Gardevoir as well as other interesting content, such as a Limited Research Day.
Pokemon Go players may participate in an in-game event that commemorates Mega Gardevoir's debut. As with any Pokemon Go event, there is plenty of content to explore, including a Limited Research Day and several challenges.

The start date for the Pokemon Go Valentine's Day event has been set.
The Pokemon Go Valentine's Day event will begin on February 8, 2023. The event started at 10 AM local time, according to the official Pokemon Go blog post.
On February 14, 2023, the event will come to a close at 8 PM local time. This gives Pokemon Go players a week to explore the Valentine's Day event.
The Mega Gardevoir in Pokemon Go is the latest development.
For the first time ever, Mega Gardevoir will appear in Pokemon Go, and as such, is the main attraction of the event.
In Mega Raids, players will find Mega Gardevoir as well as featured attacks for Gardevoir and Gallade.
During the Valentine's Day celebration, changing Kirlia into one of Gardevoir or Gallade will enable it to learn the Synchronise Charged Attack.
Luvdisc Limited Research Day Date & Begins in Pokemon Go
When you spin Photo Discs at PokéStops, on Saturday, February 11, 2023, from 2 PM to 5 PM local time, "Limited Field Research tasks will be available.
In order to encounter Luvdisc, you'll need to complete them.

Pokemon Go Lovely Wishes for Timed Research Tasks & Rewards
The Lovely Wishes Pokemon Go Timed Research challenge requires certain tasks and rewards.
Lovely Wishes Step 1 of 2
- Catch 5 Pokémon – 15 Poké Balls
- Spin 3 PokéStops or Gyms – 10 Great Balls
- Power up Pokémon 5 times – 2 Silver Pinap Berries
500 XP, 500 Stardust, and 1 Lucky Egg are among the rewards.
Before Step 2 of 2, choose the correct route.
Players in Pokemon Go will need to choose from three different routes. Each route gives a specific bonus that will remain active until the Valentine's Day event concludes:
- Catching Pokémon – Receive double the XP for catching Pokémon during the event
- Using Daily Adventure Incense – 30 minutes of Daily Adventure Incense per day
- Pokémon Candy – Double Candy rewarded for catching Pokémon
The last challenges and rewards will also vary depending on which route you choose.

Valentine's Day challenge and event bonuses for Pokemon Go
Throughout the event, Pokemon Go players will face a new global challenge. This shared challenge can unlock bonuses for players around the globe through joint cooperation.
“Work with other Trainers around the world by sending Gifts to your friends. If Trainers send enough Gifts, they’ll earn a bonus for all Trainers for the remainder of the event!”
The objective of the challenge is to send 100,000,000 gifts around the world. If completed, the following bonuses will automatically apply:
- 3× Transfer Candy for the remainder of the event
- 2× Transfer Candy XL for Trainers level 31 and up for the remainder of the event
During the event, players will also have the opportunity to receive the following bonuses:
- Lure Modules will last two hours when activated
- 2x Stardust when opening gifts
- Furfrou’s heart trim form will become available during the event
- Timed Research to access shiny Frillish for the first time
- Special Frillish avatar top and glasses for your avatar
