The new Crossbow is now available in Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 Season 2. Here's how to unlock the Crossbow in Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2.
The first update for Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 Season 2 is almost here, and it's expected to be the biggest update for both games to date. Players can look forward to the return of 1v1 Gulags, Comabt Records returning to BR, and a brand-new Resurgence map.
Season 2 will introduce five new weapons, one of which is the Crossbow, a new member of the Marksman Rifle family with a robust damage output ideal for stealth gameplay.
In Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2, here's how to unlock the Crossbow.
In Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2, how do you unlock the Crossbow?
Players in Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 may unlock the Crossbow by completing all seven of the Path of the Ronin Event challenges or purchasing it as a Store Bundle.
These goals will be available shortly after Season 2 goes live, and Activision has confirmed that they will focus on the "Seven Virtues of Bushido: Integrity, Respect, Courage, Honor, Compassion, Sincerity, and Loyalty."
The first three of these challenges have been revealed and will be available starting in Season 2: Warzone 2 or Modern Warfare 2, here are some of them:
- Integrity
- MW2 multiplayer: Win 15 matches in any game mode.
- Warzone 2: Get five top-10 finishes.
- Honor
- MW2 multiplayer: Get 100 objective defense kills.
- Warzone 2: Collect your dog tag (Restore Honor) 5 times.
- Sincerity
- MW2 multiplayer: Get 50 kills using Battle Rage.
- Warzone 2: Complete five Assassination Contracts.
- MW2 multiplayer: Win 15 matches in any game mode.
- Warzone 2: Get five top-10 finishes.
- MW2 multiplayer: Get 100 objective defense kills.
- Warzone 2: Collect your dog tag (Restore Honor) 5 times.
- MW2 multiplayer: Get 50 kills using Battle Rage.
- Warzone 2: Complete five Assassination Contracts.
- MW2 multiplayer: Win 15 matches in any game mode.
- Warzone 2: Get five top-10 finishes.
- MW2 multiplayer: Get 100 objective defense kills.
- Warzone 2: Collect your dog tag (Restore Honor) 5 times.
- MW2 multiplayer: Get 50 kills using Battle Rage.

If you have access to both games, you may pick and choose whether or not to complete the objectives in Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer or Warzone 2.
The remaining four challenges are yet to be revealed, indicating that you will not be able to unlock Crossbow fully right away. We'll update this section as soon as the final Path of the Ronin challenges are revealed.
Despite being somewhat unconventional compared to some of the other new weapons in Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2, it does have a lot of advantages that make it worthwhile to unlock.
The official description of the Crossbow is as silent and agile as it fires 20.0” bolts with outstanding lethality. Exclusive customization, distinctive functionality, and unique ammunition types make this rifle a class of its own. Standard 20.0” bolts are recoverable, and are not overlooked by trophy systems.
If you prefer a stealthier style of play, make sure to unlock the Crossbow right away when it arrives in Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 Season 2.
