The open world in Hogwarts Legacy has a slew of things to do. You'll be attending courses at Hogwarts, visiting Hogsmeade, and taming beasts during your time playing the game, as well as fulfilling various tasks scattered throughout the Scottish Highlands.
The Merlin Trials are one of the most essential tasks players must complete in order to expand their gear inventory.
This is critically important, particularly as there is so much loot to discover in Hogwarts Legacy, and you'll often find your inventory full. Below's how to complete all of the Hogwarts Legacy Merlin Trial puzzles.

In Hogwarts Legacy, how do I get Mallowsweet for Merlin Trials?
Before we dive into the puzzle solutions, you must ensure you have some Mallowsweet Leaves in your inventory in order to begin a Merlin Trial in Hogwarts Legacy.
Mallowseet Seeds from Dogweed and Deathcap in Hogsmeade can be purchased from the vendor or as a gift to begin growing their own in the Room of Requirement.
In Hogwarts Legacy, how do I solve all Merlin trials?
In Hogwarts Legacy, you will need to solve a total of nine different puzzles. Here's the answer for all of them:
Glowing moths
Three stone structures with a gem in the middle and glowing moths around the area will be featured in this Merlin Trial. Players must use the Lumos spell to attract the moths to each stone structure to light them up.
Light torches are used in the evening.
Use the damage spell Confringo to light the torch pillars in the surrounding area of the Merlin Trial. Light all three to complete the puzzle.
Stone structures must be smashed.
Players will discover stone structures in the surrounding area that may be destroyed with Confringo. Destroy every structure to complete the task.
Stone ball
A simple challenge that requires players to use Depulso to maneuver a large stone ball into a stone hole that will be nearby.
Small stone balls
For this trial, there will be three stone floor structures with holes in the middle of them. Find the small stone balls in the area and use Accio to trace them to one of the floor structures. Repeat this for all three stone floor structures.
Statues of repair
When the puzzle starts, statues around the area will collapse, which players must repair with the spell Reparo spell. Fix all of these statues to complete the challenge.
Parkour in a stone structure
Players will be faced with an obstacle course of stone structures that they will need to jump between without touching the floor for this trial.
Orbs can be broken.
Simply smash all of them with a basic assault to complete the trial if you see pillars with circular orbs on top of them.
A column of symbols
The flipendo spell is used by players to move each of the cubes with a symbol until the arrow on them is facing downwards.
How many Merlin Trials are there in Hogwarts Legacy?
Hogwarts Legacy contains a total of 95 Merlin Trials, each marked by a circle with a leaf in the middle. There are however only nine variations of the puzzle to complete.
