Dates for the Greninja Tera Raid Battle event in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet and how to defeat it

Dates for the Greninja Tera Raid Battle event in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet and how to defeat it ...

Greninja received a Tera Raid Battle event, bringing the focus to another starter Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Here are the dates the Greninja Tera Raid will begin, as well as how to beat it.

Scarlet and Violet are the focus of the current major 7 Star Tera Raid Battle event in Kalos. Previously, players had the chance to catch a Charizard and Cinderace with the Mightiest Mark, and the starter Pokemon trend has continued.

Trainers can have a tough time completing Tera Raid Battle tasks, especially if they have a 7 Star rating. Here's all you need to know about the Greninja Tera Raid event in Scarlet and Violet, including the dates and best Pokemon for the battle.

Dates for the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Greninja Tera Raid Battle

The first Greninja Tera Raid Battle in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet took place from January 27 to January 29, and the second one is scheduled for February 10 to February 12.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players have two sets of dates to face the Poison Tera Type Greninja as in previous 7 Star Tera Raid Battles.

Greninja is the Mightiest Mark as players will only be able to catch one per save file. However, players up for the challenge must look for Black Tera Crystals across Paldea.

Greninja Tera Raid Battle Technique in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

Greninja's moveset consists of the following:

  • Gunk Shot
  • Hydro Pump
  • Ice Beam
  • Night Slash
  • Toxic Spikes
  • Double Team

Toxicroak can be a valuable partner. The Pokemon resists Poison and Dark-type moves and will not suffer damage from Water-type attacks due to the Dry Skin ability. Clodsire is also an excellent option. Water Absorb will keep it safe from Hydro Pump and it can wreak significant damage with Earthquake.

Greninja will benefit from the same slowbro and stored power strategy that you used in the Cinderace Tera Raid Battle. Greninja is a Special Attacker, so slowbro is powerful enough to tank many Night Slash attacks.

Gastrodon is a fantastic alternative to Greninja, thanks to its Storm Drain ability. It can slap hard with Earth Power, and its Clear Smog is immensely effective against Greninja's annoying Double Team.

Make sure that your Pokemon selection is level 90 or higher, and you have the correct moveset and held item to defeat Greninja. Terastallizing is also extremely important because it will allow you to do maximum damage to Tera Raid Shields.
