The Tactical Nuke is an iconic feature of Infinity Wards Call of Duty titles. However, is the Nuke killstreak returning with MW2?

The ability to kill 30 enemies without dying is a difficult feat, and receiving a game-ending missile just adds to the enjoyment of accomplishing it.

The killstreak is a typical hidden match-ending reward that isn't shown in thein-gamemenus. It first appeared in Infinity Wards original Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2009).

Every Infinity Ward Call of Duty product has some form of Nuke since then, but has it reappeared in the most recent COD release?

Is There a Nuke Killstreak in MW2 Beta?

Unfortunately, for MW2 players, there appears to be no Tactical Nuke killstreak currently in the game.

Booya, a member of the Nuke Squad and FaZe clan, completed the challenging task of killing 30 people without dying. The Call of Duty creator simply received a Juggernaut medal rather than the game-ending killstreak.

The Modern Warfare 2 Nuke

The decision to exclude the Tactical Nuke has not been well accepted by the community, with many content creators publicly expressing their thoughts.

JSmooth has petitioned with Infinity Ward to include it into the game.


While Swagg is disappointed that the game is currently without the hidden killstreak.

According to leaks, a Nuke is coming to Modern Warfare 2 on the launch day.

Although nothing has been confirmed by the game's creator, leak RalphsValve believes that the Nuke might even be dropped in a future Beta update.
