Jennifer Kaytin Robinson has been adamant about telling stories about complicated, messy women, including in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since her film debut in 2019. With Someone Great, she has been adamant about telling stories about complicated, difficult women.

Robinson, who just released his latest film Do Revenge on Netflix, co-wrote Thor: Love and Thunder together with filmmaker Taika Waititi, while also directing the 90s-inspired Indie Film starring Maya Hawke and Camila Mendes as Eleanor and Drea, two fucked-up TaskRabbits set to avenge one another's high school horrors. The ensemble cast, including Austin Abrams, Sophie Turner, Ava Capri, Paris Berelc,

Robinson hasnt given up on directing her own standalone Marvel film someday because she is particularly interested in developing the Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson) storyline for Love and Thunder.

Robinson told IndieWire that she would love to direct a major film like Marvel or DC. For me, it's about the people I connect to, not necessarily big or small movies. I've approached writing Unpregnant in the same way I approached writing Thor, and its just about focusing on a narrative. Who are these people? What is their identity? How do you make it the most enjoyable experience possible?

Robinson continued, "It's really about just being drawn to continuing to tell stories about women and capturing complicated, messy, emotional stories that can live in elevated worlds." That's what I'm most interested in, and so if that comes in the form of a $5 million Blumhouse film, also awesome. I like to make things and feel like I can do a good job."

Robinson is hoping that Netflix will reconsider allowing a Do Revenge sequel as well, since the ode to late 90s high school dramas has drawn comparisons with Clueless, Cruel Intentions, and other contemporary classics.

Netflix is a streaming service.

When asked if a Do Revenge cinematic universe is on the way, I will tell you here's my sequel idea. Tell me what you think: I think the sequel should be Deux Revenge, as its about Sophie Turner taking Drea and Eleanor.

Hawke, who plays Drea and Eleanor in Do Revenge, planned her own sequel. She's reimagining Thelma & Louise, particularly after Drea and Eleanor go off into the sunset together at the end of Do Revenge.

Drea and Eleanor would be fun to see in a road trip film, as Hawke teasing them. Theyre just finishing high school. So many children go on European tours after they finish high school. I think it's like a European tour or roadtrip movie post-high school, and they just get into trouble everywhere they go.

Do Revenge is now available on Netflix.
