In real life, seasons change as they do in Destiny 2, Bungie's fictional world of space wizards and alien visitors.
Every few months, a new storyline, new seasonal activity, new weapons, and new armor are added to the season 14. Other seasons include new or re-mastered raids, such as Destiny 1's Vault of Glass, which was added in season 14.
Every season, however, reveals a story that moves Destiny 2's overall plot in interesting ways, even if it doesn't appear to be at first. Characters new and old are introduced, alliances formed, and new adversaries are revealed.
In Destiny 2, seasons tend to last three to four months, some longer due to delays or things like the COVID-19 epidemic. Either way, there's always something to look forward to in Bungie's FPS RPG franchise.
