A member of the Dont Worry crew talks about rumors about a drama on the set of Olivia Wildes' film ...

Dont Worry Darling has been a hot topic for a while, as rumors have flooded in about an alleged feud between Olivia Wilde and Florence Pugh, which has dominated the narrative around the film. Many have spoken out about the plethora of situations, and, more recently, a crew member has taken the lead in addressing concerns about drama happening on the set.

After the film's premiere at the Venice Film Festival, social media was abuzz with all the rumors about Wilde's alleged feud. We've also seen the rise of conspiracy theories about wilds things like whether Styles spit on Chris Pine, another of the films stars (both have stated this did not happen). Now, the filmmaker, Matthew Libatique has told the THR podcast Behind the Screen (opens in new tab) that the BTS rumors do not reflect his experience.

Olivia forged a team that believed in her and in each and everybody on the set. When I hear that there are rumors of acrimony on the set, I dismiss it. It wasnt apparent at all.

Olivia Wilde said she's excited about the film and can't wait to share it. When asked about Pugh's absence from the press, she said the media was endless tabloid gossip and noise. The director also stated that Pugh couldn't participate in other press events because to the production of Dune 2.

Wilde later called this rumor to be a bogus hoax, saying her relationship with Ted Lasso began long before she saw Styles. Matthew Libatique also claimed he did not witness any drama on the set.

Whatever happened, it happened shortly after I left for something else. I was never aware of anything and I didn't feel anything. You know, you don't know what is going on, and I didn't feel anything.

Shia LaBeouf was originally cast in the lead role that the One Direction star plays, but LaBeouf later said that he resigned. Before that, Florence Pugh and Wilde discussed their differing opinions on how sex is shown in the film.

If what the director and her cinematographer say is true, then we may all be overthinking it, and there is certainly no drama. However, there is no guarantee that we'll ever know for certain what went wrong.

Dont Worry Darling will be released on September 23 as part of the 2022 film schedule. We'll see if it meets the mark or if we're just being careful.
