With Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, fans are ready for yet another emotional ride.
The new movie looks to be the last step on the road for the Eternals family. At least that's what the teaser for the sequel suggested during the Super Bowl on Sunday. Fans are already stocking up on tissues and hankies for James Gunn's threequel, which is expected to release later this year. Kumail Nanjiani seemed to confirm that the film will be a real tearjerker as the film was aired.
Nanjiani would not be able to reveal any information about the next Guardians film until he was cast as Kingo in the Eternals. However, he was supposed to make a cameo appearance in the Guardians installment.
Nanjiani provided no further information to fans on the film's plot or what will make us cry. Although we can anticipate some major character deaths, after all, we know this is the last installment.
James Gunn replied to Nanjiani's tweet, jokely jokingly asking the actor for spoilers. Nanjiani responded, claiming that Gunn had now inadvertently confirmed that the film would bring fans to tears.
Although both the actor and the director were careful not to give anything away and did not risk the death of Kevin Feige, we do know that the third Guardians will be a rollercoaster.
On May 5, 2023, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will be released in cinemas.
