The Flash star speaks out on the power of hope amid James Gunn's recast rumors ...

Sasha Calle appears to be resurrecting the Girl of Steel herself in her superhero role.

Following the trailer's release, the actress was understandably overjoyed, gushing on Twitter that she put her "heart and soul" into portraying the beloved heroine, calling the character "so special and strong" and lauding the experience of playing her as one of her "most important honors."

Calle appeared to respond to the speculation that her role would be recast, and she offered a very optimistic outlook on the future that her fictional alter ego Kara Zor-El would be proud of. "If there's anything Supergirl has taught me, it's hope," she wrote.
