The Last of Us, a popular video game adaptation on HBO, is attracting a lot of interest from gamers and the general public, all of whom are eager to see how the story will unfold next. Many enthusiasts enjoy it, but a certain event is causing havoc among the fandom.
The Super Bowl thwarted the program's intention to air new episodes every Sunday, from January 15 to March 12, thus, HBO chose to release episode five of The Last of Us two days sooner than expected, on February 10th. While viewers loved the opportunity, when Sunday aired, this didn't appear to be such a great thing.
Fans of The Last of Us were suddenly confronted with the reality that they are having to wait even longer than usual for the next episode, and they aren't taking it all that well. Eager viewers decided to deal with this issue in traditional netizen manner — by posting about it on social media. And, of course, using memes to express their impatience.
This deplorable desperation does not appear to be caused by impatience, though. After the tragic conclusion of episode 5, viewers have realized they will be forced to endure their desperation for longer. Evidently, no one loves that.
From this point forward, episode six of The Last of Us will premiere on February 19. All other episodes remain available for streaming on HBO Max.
